Montana
Often called Big Sky Country for its famed big, blue skies, Montana is a state of contrasts, from the flat regions to the East and the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains in the West.
Almost a quarter of Montana is national forest or public lands, with almost two million hectares (five million acres) protected as wilderness areas. Elk, deer, antelope, wolves and bears are just a few of the 500 species of wildlife that can be seen in Montana.
